Product description
The MLX90411 is a low-noise all-in-one single-coil fan driver IC with a 1 A drive capability, suitable for any fan, blower or pump applications
The MLX90411KZE/KLD (IT/Appliances/Industrial) is optimised for 5V, 12V as well as 24V Consumer / IT / Appliance/ Industrial applications. It comes with a built-in Supply clamp at 20V for 5V and 12V applications, avoiding the need for TVS protection on the supply to handle any motor push back. A 40V Clamp version is available for 24V applications and Li-Ion portable applications up to 32V. Additionally a range of current limit options are available from 330mA up to 960mA for fan/pump applications up to 15W.

The MLX90411 features several adaptive commutation control options for either lowest acoustic noise or highest efficiency. Both open loop and closed loop speed control is possible, with a wide range of dynamic (PI) settings. The device is programmable via an I2C interface and all options are configurable in the on-board EEPROM. Based upon 0.18 μm technology, the tiny MLX90411 is available in a straight-lead SOT package (-ZE package code) and a 2.5 x 2.0 x 0.4 mm UTDFN (LD package code) package.
