Your future mission
As an intern at Melexis, you'll get the chance to explore how micromagnets can be integrated with our advanced sensor technologies to enhance their performance. You'll gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge magnetic sensors and play an important role in innovative research projects. You will also gain hands-on experience with microfabrication processes in a clean room environment, developing key skills in material preparation and characterization.
More specifically, you will:
Explore the properties of polyimide with ferromagnetic coatings and their impact on sensor performance.
Characterize the magnetic field behavior of micromagnets using Melexis Triaxis®.
Conduct exciting experiments using a Hexapod motion system.
Analyze data from simulations and real-world tests to identify optimization opportunities.
Prepare samples and characterization in a cleanroom environment.
Expected results
- A comprehensive report detailing the performance and compatibility with sensor technologies
- Practical recommendations for optimizing design parameters to boost sensor performance
- Identification and resolution of potential integration challenges
- Contributions to potential publications based on your research findings
Requirements
Basic knowledge of micromagnetic engineering, sensor technologies, and familiarity with lab instrumentation and magnetic characterization techniques
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Python for data analysis and device control
Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Clean room experience, particularly with PDMS, is a plus
