Project description
As an intern in the motor driver development team you will design a standalone fully CMOS current reference (not driven from a bandgap voltage reference).
More specifically, you will
- Implementing current reference circuit topology based on the CMOS transistors
- Investigating the best operating region of CMOS transistors to make PTAT and CTAT current sources
- Balancing PTAT and CTAT current sources to achieve a constant current source independent to the temperature variations.
- Simulation and verification of the designed current reference circuit
- Investigation/simulation of the noise and power supply rejection ratios of the current reference.
Project goals
To study and simulate the practical limitations of the existing CMOS based current references and to come with a new improved topology
