Project description
As an intern in the motor driver development team you will design a fast, low noise and precise asynchronous comparator for a relaxation oscillator.
More specifically, you will be:
Implementing a basic relaxation oscillator
Designing an asynchronous comparator for the basic relaxation oscillator
Investigation of the frequency errors at the oscillator that a practical asynchronous comparator can cause
Finding the optimum circuit topology of the comparator that reduces the frequency errors
Verification of the optimum comparator with simulations
Project goals
To study and simulate the practical limitations of the existing asynchronous comparators and to come with a new improved topology
Your profile
MSc student of electrical engineering
Knowledge of circuit theory
Knowledge of CMOS circuit design
