The Process and Equipment Engineering Team Lead at Melexis is a pivotal position, offering the opportunity to drive and improve processes and equipment at our innovative Sofia, Bulgaria facility. This role allows you to lead a talented team and work closely with senior management to enhance operational efficiency and support innovation. As a leader reporting to the Process and Equipment Engineering Manager, you will focus on process enhancements and ensure our equipment remains reliable and efficient, contributing to Melexis' continued success.

More specifically, you will:

• Lead and guide a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that encourages innovation.

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of manufacturing equipment, from procurement and installation to maintenance and eventual retirement, ensuring optimal performance.

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety standards.

• Promote the adoption of new technologies to advance our manufacturing capabilities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate transformative processes and technologies.

• Analyze and address equipment-related issues promptly to reduce downtime and increase productivity.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

• Experience in process and equipment engineering within a manufacturing environment.

• Leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing teams is a preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts.

• Fluency in English; additional languages are beneficial.

• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.

• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles is a valuable asset.
