500 kHz Coreless External Primary Current Sensor - MLX91235

Product description

The MLX91235 is a smart high-speed, coreless current sensor IC with stray field immunity. Its coreless design eliminates the need for external ferromagnetic elements (like C-cores or U-shields), reducing the system’s BOM.

This monolithic Hall-effect sensor accurately measures (differential measurement) the magnetic flux density applied perpendicularly to its surface, providing a proportional analog output voltage.

The transfer characteristic of the MLX91235 is factory-trimmed over temperature. Additionally, the MLX91235 is programmable (fine gain, offset, overcurrent threshold) via a digital full-duplex SPI interface during end-of-line customer calibration. Finally, the integrated stress sensor compensates for lifetime effects, ensuring long-term accuracy.

Melexis' application engineers are ready to collaborate with you to ensure the best mechanical integration is chosen for your application.
